Creating an account and being able to fund it are separate issues. At the time of our latest check, betPawa’s Rwanda notice says deposit-taking is temporarily paused. A registration form may still be visible, but new users should confirm what functions are actually available before submitting personal information.
Before you register
You should be at least 18, use a Rwanda phone number that belongs to you and provide accurate identity details. Do not create an account for another person or allow someone else to use your mobile-money wallet.
Check that the address bar shows the official Rwanda domain. Lookalike domains, unsolicited social-media messages and agents offering to create an account on your behalf should be avoided.
Typical registration process
- Open the official Rwanda website.
- Select the registration option.
- Enter your own mobile number.
- Create a strong PIN or password that is not reused elsewhere.
- Confirm the number using the requested verification step.
- Complete any identity or age verification shown in the secure account area.
Never share a one-time code, wallet PIN or password with a person claiming to be support.
Why accurate details matter
Operators may compare the betting-account name, identification record and withdrawal-wallet ownership. Incorrect or inconsistent details can delay verification and withdrawals. Correct information also makes it easier to recover an account through official support.
Can a new account deposit now?
The current operator notice says deposits are paused while regulatory discussions continue. Do not interpret a successful registration as confirmation that deposits have resumed. Check the dated status notice immediately before attempting any payment.
After registration
Review the account’s security, notification and responsible-gambling controls. Set an entertainment limit before placing a bet, keep login credentials private and log out on shared devices.
